Partner with Buying Team to develop online KPIs & the seasonal merchandise objectives, achieve sales and gross margin plans
Strategize online initiatives to drive top line and profits sales; drive weekly and monthly marketing programs
Lead the internal support teams to ensure the right merchandise is featured at the right time online according to the delivery windows to meet full price sell-through targets
Work closely with Product Advisors, Product Writers, Customer Care and S&O store teams to understand and better accommodate customer requirements in product copywriting in order to maximize product description and minimize unnecessary returns
Partner with in store VM/Brand Creative to deliver visual consistency between stores and online
Be proactive in understanding the local and international competitive landscape, and online retail and multi-channel trends, and take action to minimize any loss of Pedder Group market share
Oversee team with product information for online – from managing brand profile updates to product descriptions – ensuring the information is updated, relevant and on brand with Lane Crawford.
Be the E-commerce representative and touch point for Buying Teams, working closely with everyone to achieve Omni-channel approach and mindset for Pedder Group
Engage in two-way communication and be the key contact person for product related questions for various E-commerce teams (Online Retail, E-commerce Trading, Product Merchandising, Customer Care, Studio, Editorial)
Be the E-commerce vendor point person and facilitate conversations to ensure the online needs are met in terms of online marketing, material needs, and to address any questions the vendors might have about the site
BS/BA in Business, Marketing, or Retail Merchandising.
3-5 years Ecommerce Site merchandising experience or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
Authoritative personality to instill the importance of eCommerce in Pedder Group and negotiate terms internally when necessary
Entrepreneurial in ability to drive the business while over-seeing multiple tasks
Understanding of the merchandising process and product lifecycle
Experience developing customized reports and leveraging data to build and drive the online merchandising strategy
Understanding and proficient application of retail math.
Expertise in online/digital as well as merchandising KPI’s and experience leveraging KPI’s to drive decisions
Experience utilizing Digital Analytics tools (ex: Google Analytics)
Excellent verbal and written communications skills
Strong organizational skills with proven ability to effectively prioritize tasks and manage multiple assignments at the same time
Ability to confidently interact and influence professionals at all levels of the organization
