Job Purpose

We’re on the hunt for a Social Media & Content Intern / Temporary Assistant to help with the day to day running of the Social Media accounts, assisting with scheduling, image cropping, shoot preparation and regular shoot days, as well as various office admin tasks. We will also require assistance creating Instagram stories content for key in-store activations. In return you will learn the ropes within an exciting, fast-paced social media team for an innovative retail environment.


Key Accountabilities

In addition to following Pedder Group’s policies and procedures, key accountabilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Manage the scheduling and posting of all social media channels including Instagram, Facebook and YouTube demonstrating channel growth as well as maintaining and improving engagement and revenue
  • Use tools to manage multiple social media channels
  • Plan content and its delivery regularly, with a target outcome in mind
  • Assist in developing a social media strategy and set goals to increase followers, brand awareness and increase engagement
  • Assist with copy creation and hashtags
  • Compile digital assets, cropping and preparing for posting
  • Develop a content calendar with key dates
  • Creating Instagram stories content
  • Help collate samples for shoot days if needed
  • Research social innovation and compile competitor analysis and reporting
  • Assist in the layout of presentations
  • Provide regular reporting to the team with recommendations for improvements



  • Bachelor's degree in Communication, Marketing or related field
  • One year of hands on experience with social media management for brands, preferably in retail environment
  • Strong planning and organisational skills
  • Experience running a blog or vlog channel desirable
  • Keen interest in Social Media and understanding of core marketing principles
  • Highly organised with a can-do attitude and the ability to adapt in fast paced situations
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Great Photography skills
  • iMovie/video editing skills are a plus
  • A love of language and great attention to detail
  • Excellent command of written and spoken English, Cantonese and Mandarin
  • Advanced knowledge of Adobe Photoshop, Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Words
