Job Purpose: 

To support Senior Merchandise Planning Manager and the Finance team in finance planning & merchandising.

Key Accountabilities:

In addition following Pedder Group’s policies and procedures, key accountabilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Review and forecast sales performance in detail with Merchandising and Finance – brand / location / category level analysis, and across different accounts
  • Recommend action plans with the objective of maximizing sales potential and sell through
  • Evaluate stock level and sell through by location (HK and regional), and recommend stock allocation / replenishment / transfers
  • Support CBO in preparation of seasonal purchase plans – ‘Pre-buy’ and ‘Post-buy’ preparation
  • Initiate analysis of historical data and current trends to identify risks and opportunities on investments and recommend strategy
  • Attend regular weekly and monthly trading meetings with CBO / Finance / S&O and make sure plan and actions are in line with business objectives
  • Provide clear targets / KPI to merchandising team and sales team based on brand / category / item seasonal investments
  • Provide markdown and clearance planning with Finance and CBO
  • Monitor and analyze promotional activities
  • Review Monthly Incentive Program with S&O for approval

Requirements:

  • Bachelors Degree, in Business Administration or Supply Chain Management preferred
  • Strong computer skills, particularly in Excel
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in Merchandise Planning or Buying role
  • Excellent logical, analytical and problem solving skills are a MUST
  • Strong business acumen, numerical sense and communication skills
  • Experience in fashion apparel industry / retail chain is an advantage
